Spent the early morning preparing my talk on the Soviet Health services. The first lecture was on the Beveridge plan by a woman liberal candidate for Devizes; she spoke loudly, well, and there was really nothing to disagree with—but much to learn. Good. zic zru zhp zlu
Then commissions; we had the four talks, mine was very successful and I spoke better than I ever have before; we passed a few summing up resolutions—almost unanimously favourable, especially regarding the health services. A good meeting. zic zlu zhp

After lunch I met my fellow secretary and together we compiled the report up to date. At 4.30 an extra commission meeting on Planning. Then tea, and after an informal discussion on emotion and reason, the highlight of the week. Our very Rev.
