After lunch we went to the rehearsal. During our bit I felt extremely sick and dizzy, and had to go outside. I think it was too much lunch and the fug in the theatre while standing on the stage. Then at 4.15 all those in the play went and bathed in the harbour. It was very clear and about 9ft deep. It was 14ft to the water, S and O dived, the others went by the steps. Jolly warm. … We were weighed in the evening, I weigh 7.7½ (up 2½). N has gone up 9 lbs! He is only half a pound less than me, so does Wood. zpa

At 9.24, 6 mins. before the bus was due to leave for the station, I was told that I was going! I was in the middle of painting my name on my surf-board. I rushed off, bunged a few things in the suitcase, and got on the bus. Phew! … Cambridge about 9.40. Very tired. What a day, and what a term! The maid who got I.P. died. ztv zil zmh
