The A’s in the ‘Ascent of F6’ impressed me. Life—I’ve got it all to come before, to make what I can of it. Profound thoughts! When I read through them in future years I’ll probably make some cynical remark! (like this!} zth zpy zsy

In 3rd prep I made toys. Some Dartford [a women’s physical training college] carol singers serenaded us from the hall—in aid of the Red Cross—we watched from the banisters.
